Budding Artists in Mrs Weeks’ Class

18th Nov 2020

Our class commenced their studies on the Ancient Egyptians. Today we painted our clay pots with metallic paints to try to capture the essence of some of the oppulent treasures the wealthier ancient Egyptians would have had buried with their mummified bodies in underground tombs and pyramids.

We then had a look at the mummification process. We learned a little about how famous Pharaohs like King Tutankhamen would have been buried. We had a go at replicating pictures of the death mask worn by King Tutankhamen after he had undergone the preserving process.
