On Thursday 9th March our school celebrated World Book Day. We all wore something yellow to celebrate Roald Dahl's favourite colour and many brought in photos of them reading in extreme places!
We spent the morning researching different authors on the ipads, remembering our favourite quotes, making book markers, writing book review tweets etc Some brought in books and after break we opened a 'Book Swap Shop'. Our class worked hard last week at writing and illustrating children's books. After break we got to read them to the Year 2 classes which everyone enjoyed. To finish off the day we had a special assembly to celebrate different achievements and watched 'James and the Giant Peach'. A great day was had by everyone!
