We have really enjoyed exploring ‘Winter’ through our play based learning. We have been learning about how we can keep warm in winter and how animals keep warm in winter. We learnt how some animals hibernate in the cold winter months and some birds migrate to warmer climates for the winter. We made some bird seed cake to help feed the birds in winter. We had a look at a real bird’s nest and made a list of different natural materials they use to build a nest.
We have lived dressing up in our winter role play and creating winter artwork using digital media programmes on the computers and on the iPads. Have a look at what we’ve been up to!
