Pupils engaged enthusiastically in their use of the ‘Times Table Rockstars App’ during class time and at home each evening. Points were accumulated individually which were then pulled together to give each Year 5 class a total score at the end of the tournament.
Mrs Weeks’ class held pole position for most of the week. However Mrs Adams’ class came dangerously close on Wednesday. The competition was intense as keypads and keyboards were tapped furiously. Ultimately Mrs Weeks’ class went on to claim victory with an impressive total class score of 4399, followed in second place by Mrs Adams’ class with 3727.
The top three pupil scores in each class earned themselves certificates. Mia won 🥇, MacIntyre won 🥈 and Lola won 🥉. As a treat Malcolm’s mum sent in a tub of Celebrations. Mrs Weeks brought in a tub of Heroes, mini chocolate rolls and popcorn as a Friday treat. The class earned themselves a homework pass for one of next week’s written homeworks for all their hard work.
